Achtung! Gefahr!

Sunday morning was quite, well, naff! There was a howling gale and it was trying to rain......great motivation for my planned 100Km training ride. I did 47! That was enough......all downhill into a gale at 20Kph and then all back uphill.

As it usually does, the weather brightened up as soon as I arrived home so Fi and I decided to go for a gentle stroll to see the view from Mumpfer Fluhe (Fi was obviously jealous of my Geocaching and really wanted to see where the cache was stashed). So, upon our arrival at the viewpoint I was requested to demonstrate my climbing abilities (don't look down!)...

On the way home we noticed that modern farming techniques are alive and kicking in Aargau:

This reminded us of a little story about why the abbreviation for canton Aargau displayed on every registration plate is "AG". Apparently it dates back to when most drivers learnt their skills in agricultural vehicles.......so the AG stands for Achtung Gefahr! (Attention Danger) which is apparently a reflection on their driving standards. Personally I don't have a problem with the drivers from Aargau. I do have a problem, however, with those from Basel Lande (BL).....Bloody Looney's ;-))
