The weather at the moment (at least in North West CH) is weirdly warm. Today was again 10C and the forecast is for next week to be warmer! I guess this is global warming in action, so "little Brum" is going in the garage and I'm going to buy a train ticket. The locals are starting to get collectively twitchy about the prospects of skiing.
Still, on the plus side it means that I was able to commence my winter cycle training in Spring like conditions. I managed 50Km before I got the bonk. Oh well, only 10Km seeing stars as I grovelled back to home. The new cycle path up the valley is now fully open. It's a bit slower than the road and full of the usual scattering of walkers, runners and rollerbladers........however I can't complain as I can now ride all the way to Basel (35KM) on dedicated cycle paths. The Brits could learn a lot about that........and the roads here are really quiet compared with SE England.
After some heavy negotiations on Friday, it's looking like I'm going to get a new job (same boss) with more responsibility and a few direct reports. That means I will have to start reading my Management books and review all that leadership training I've had. At last, a chance to put theory into practice. Now all I need to do is negotiate an appropriate raise.......fat chance......the boss has deep pockets.........but suffers from short arms!
Better turn in now.......early start tomorrow.......have to appear keen.
