Wanted: Cleaning Lady

Another beautiful spring like day! Actually it felt more like autumn than spring with warm sunshine and a temperature of 20C on our front balcony.

I chose this morning to go for a gentle bike ride and ended up doing some really hard m-f hills on the Aargau - Basel Lande border. It was hard work but a step closer to the Gigathlon..... Since the sun was out I decided to walk off my ride so hiked around the Loonberg to check on one of my geocaches that nobody can find. Not surprising really as it has gone missing! It's either been stolen or the wild boars have got it. I'll have to re-plant this one soon.

Anyway, I came home to find Fi cleaning little Brum. Now that's a rare occurrence and I know I should have taken a photo. Even the bloke from next door was surprised. Reminded me of a car that I had passes earlier with "PutzFrau Gesucht" scrawled in the dirt (Wanted: Cleaning Lady). Now I'm going to have to translate "I wish my wife was this dirty" into German so that I can scribble that on Tommy;-))

This evening we went for a boozy (except for nominated drivers like me) birthday party down in the woods by Walbach. A great evening being hosted by our neighbor and his friend who have a total age of 70 this year. That's the same as me and Fi........
I have to say that the Swiss really know how to enjoy themselves and are quite uninhibited so we were soon racletting together and sharing experiences in our not very good German. In fact the Swiss put the Brits to shame with languages. Almost everyone here can manage some English so conversation is normally not too hard.
