Last night in rehab!

At last I've made it to the last night in the rehab clinic. That means that I should be able to sleep tomorrow night. Despite not really wanting to be here it's a little strange to be leaving so soon. I guess it's because I know that all the time I'm here I am being monitored and can't do myself any harm. Fiona is quite worried that I'll do something stupid (like going for a hilly bike ride) as soon as I get home. Fortunately, I have a lot more self preservation instinct than that.

I had my final meeting with the doctor here before she "signs me over" to my GP in Basel. To be honest, I'm a bit disapointed that she thinks I should take it so easy (bike training restriction of 160 Watts), especially after putting out 385 Watts in test this afternoon. Doctor knows best..... but I still want a second opinion!

I've been signed off work for a further two weeks (until 6th Feb) at which point my GP will decide what happens next. I'll have to make sure that I keep active (mentaly and physicaly) and I expect that Fi is already putting a list of tasks together! As I said before, the next couple of weeks will give me a chance to step back and evaluate the situation and think about what I want out of life moving forward. Of course, I'm open to (sensible) suggestions from YOU so please drop me a mail if you have the time.

So, for a lack of anything else to say.... good night!
