The results of yesterdays ergospirometry test are not yet in, or at least I didn't have time to speak to the doctor today. My betting is that they can't believe the results. So I spent a total of two hours on the the exercise bike pushing out 160 Watts at a steady 125 BPM. Soooo boring and now my backside hurts too! Oops... mentioned the "b" word. That means I'll have to tidy my room ;-))
Fiona took the day off work today and came to visit for the afternoon which was a welcome distraction. She even came along for the zombie walk in the woods which meant I had to walk slowly for a change. After the walk I had to go for a lecture on diet where we were all treated like kids and asked stupid questions like "Do you think spinach is a good source of protein?" Derrrrr! I wonder? Why don't you just tell me? You're the expert!!
To add insult to injury I got back to my room to find that Fi had eaten my special Snickers bar. I'd been taking that one out for walks for a few days and built up a special bond with it. Fi just bit it's head off. Murderer! Funny how the thin air messes with your mind.
So more of the same tomorrow. Another two hours of arse pain on the exercise bike and a walk in the woods. I've also got a Gym session, relaxation session and meetings with the Doctor and the "sozialberater" who/whatever that is. Looking at my schedule it's starting to look like a day in the office!
I did find time to take a look at Mike Antons photo's of the East Grinstead CC Christmas "eight and a bit" today (http://www.mikeanton.com/Cycling/EGCCXMAS1023Dec07/index.html). I just hope the cycling authorities don't find them... there is definately evidence of irregular and perhaps, dare I say, illegal behavior. Surely there is a law against cycling dressed up as elves? And allowing someone to sit on your wheel when you haven't got any mud guards on? Criminal! Mind you, there is hope for all of us in that John G still manages to get the horn at his age ;-))
Oh well, time for an early night I think. Only two more days until I get a weekend pass so I had better be well behaved. Tally Ho!
